2) Host a "Community Gathering" Community Gatherings are a wonderful way to build community and raise funds for our school. At the auction, attendees can purchase a "spot" at your party. You can host a cooking party, a crafting party for adults or children, a foraging adventure, a wine tasting party for adults only, etc. Anything you can think of can be made into a party! Think about your skills and interests, and consider pairing up with another parent to make it more fun and less work. Just choose a date, write a description, and you are set to go. Here's the community gatherings form.Questions about community gatherings? Contact Roberta.
3) Solicit items for the online, silent, or live auction (everything should be new/unused)
Do you have a contact in the restaurant or wine industry?
Do you own a vacation home?
Do you make beautiful art or other handcrafted items?
Do you provide a service or do you have a contact who is a service provider? (acupuncture, meal prep, taxes, landscaping, etc.)
Do you have a contact for a one-of-a-kind experience? (A balloon ride, a tour of a special company, a famous person, etc.)
Tickets to sporting and cultural events - Giants, A's, Warriors, ballet, symphony, etc.
Unique bottles of wine, beer or other liquor baskets
Experiences - things people can't buy - e.g., lunch with a well-known person, tours of popular places, etc.
Can you make/build/craft a unique item?
Here's the letter you can use to solicit businesses.(Feel free to make a copy if you want to personalize it.) If everyone in our community solicits two items valued at $30+, we'll have more than enough! Questions or ideas re: soliciting items? Contact Allyson.
