Step 2 - Information Sessions
Information Sessions (October - December)
Join us to learn more about the Golden Bridges approach to education.
Parent Conversations (optional)
Several currently enrolled parents host an informal conversation to offer unique perspectives of the school. Parents represent various programs as well as their experience entering the school at various stages.
"The education that my child receives at Golden Bridges is beyond my wildest dreams, especially in a city like San Francisco. She is farming, hiking, singing, knitting, whittling, cooking, playing and learning how to be a compassionate, curious, creative, whole human being.
Being part of the GBS community is incredibly enriching and fulfilling for our entire family. Together we are creating something really special and unique."
A link to the online application (which includes a request for a student evaluation) is sent after submitting an inquiry and attending an information session (steps 1 and 2).
Applications and student evaluation forms are due January 15.
Applications for tuition assistance are due January 15.
Please submit all applications, including student evaluations and tuition assistance, by the deadline.
The following are descriptions of the processes in a typical year. Our current admissions process is evolving as we continue to adapt and adhere to all San Francisco Department of Public Health guidelines.
Dandelion Preschool Applicants:
You and your child will be invited to a 30 minute meeting with the Dandelion teachers at the school farm. You will also be invited to tour our main campus at 503 Cambridge Street during a time when children are not present, on a weekday afternoon or Saturday.
You and your child will be invited to a 30 minute interactive conversation with two Early Childhood teachers either at the school farm or in McLaren Park. You will also be invited to tour our main campus at 503 Cambridge Street during a time when children are not present, on a weekday afternoon or Saturday.
Grade School Applicants:
Each applicant will come visit their grade class for a 2-3 day visit. They will participate in all class activities during that time. After the visit, the parents and teacher will meet to review the visit and answer any questions. You will also be invited to tour our main campus at 503 Cambridge Street during a time when children are not present, on a weekday afternoon or Saturday.
