After School ProgramIn support of our families, Golden Bridges School provides a loving and nurturing extended care program for our Kindergarten and Grades children.
The afternoon continues with a healthy rhythm and offers a home-like environment in which younger children enjoy the company of their friends, a nap or quiet time, indoor and outdoor play time, and time for a nutritious snack. Older children have the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities, study, complete homework, and socialize with friends. See below for the daily schedule, set pick-up windows, and fees. |

1:10-2:10pm
Students will be guided through different techniques and learn from each other as they practice their chess skills. As the class progresses, students will participate in a tournament.
This class will be an opportunity for all levels from beginner to intermediate to join and learn by playing the game of chess. Intermediate students will learn tactics, how to defend common opening traps, and review famous games. Class will culminate in a voluntary tournament.
Drop-ins will be available after the first week of class for $12/class.
Tuesdays 10/8/24 - 11/19/24
2:15-3:15pm
In this class students will use improv, music, rhythm, and storytelling to explore spoken word format and create original work.
Kamani is a spiritual recording artist, art, and music teacher for youth who has worked with children ages 2-17. He uses music as a medium to encourage children to reveal within themselves something deeper that will allow them to use their own talents and awareness for their benefit in and out of the classroom.
In his classes, stories are told as a way to bring about this creative process as our ancestors did in the past- by changing voices, telling jokes, and being enthusiastic throughout.
