After School Program

In support of our families, Golden Bridges School provides a loving and nurturing extended care program for our Kindergarten and Grades children.

​The afternoon continues with a healthy rhythm and offers a home-like environment in which younger children enjoy the company of their friends, a nap or quiet time, indoor and outdoor play time, and time for a nutritious snack.

Older children have the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities, study, complete homework, and socialize with friends.

  • Registration opens (via ParentSquare) on July 29
  • Registration closes on August 23​
Drop-in Policy: Space permitting, we support occasional drop-ins with timely notice. Unless there is an emergency, we are not able to support same-day drop-ins. 

Volunteering/Meetings:  If parents/guardians have a school related meeting or conference, children are welcome to join at no cost - space permitting.  Requests must be made to the After School Program Manager at least 24 hours in advance.

Paid Enrichment Classes

Chess with Colin (1st-8th), Spring

Tuesdays, 1:10-2:10pm
April 1, 22, 29
May 6, 13, 20, 27


Students will be guided through different techniques and learn from each other as they practice their chess skills.


This class will be an opportunity for all levels from beginner to intermediate to join and learn by playing the game of chess. Intermediate students will learn tactics, how to defend common opening traps, and review famous games. Class will culminate in a voluntary tournament.


Drop-ins will be available after the first week of class for $12/class.

Math Club with Colin (5th-8th)

The GBS math club is open to 5th-8th graders who are interested and excited about learning more math and advancing their math knowledge beyond the GBS math curriculum.

Art with Lisa Magruder (Ages 6-10)

Lisa Magruder, local artist and wonder of Frame Art Studio, will be teaching an art class on Mondays in our aftercare program.


Lisa comes highly recommended by several of our Golden Bridges Families. As an experienced educator and artist, Lisa prides herself on her ability to tailor her lessons to the interests and abilities of the students. In this class, students will begin learning drawing and painting and then engage in multimedia explorations.

I do all of this while ensuring that we have fun; my core belief is that in order to get better, you have to love what you do. So if each lesson is fun but also challenging, it’s a perfect recipe for developing results and cultivating a love for the sport. My biggest reward as a coach is to see all my students improve over such a short amount of time."
